Impossible pictures at The Varberg Wall Exhibition

Så nu hänger mitt konstverk på planket i Varberg.

Så här gjorde jag:
Bilderna tog jag under Wheels & Wings i Varberg 2011. Iden var "Gamla bilder ska fångas på gammal film". Filmen jag använde var från Impossible Project, det finns monokrom och färgfilm till olika Polaroid kameror. Här är det färgfilm som jag laddat i min Polaroid 600.
När jag funderade på bildval och montering växte iden fram att montera bilderna på en rostig plåt. Sagt och gjort, ett besök hos Walls Smide som fixade plåten. Problemet var att den inte var rostig så det blev till att ta till ett gammalt knep, ut med den i trädgården, kissa på den och sedan fick den ligga två veckor. Resultatet blev en underbar rostigt vacker yta.
Nästa utmaning var att väderskydda den, det regnar ju ganska ofta så här års. Idéerna och förslagen var många när jag ställde frågan på facebook. Resultatet blev en plexiglas skiva monterad med distanser och korten monterade med magneter så att dom går att plocka ner snabbt och regnet kommer.

It was a big car event in Varberg the other day. I decided to capture it with one of my old Polaroid cameras using the new Impossible 600 film.
I love it and like to share it with you - hope you like it to - both the cars and the film.

One impossible polaroid - one fake

It not the same feeling in a digital image as in a Polaroid or what do you think?
The first picture is impossible and the second is digital.

Sounds impossible - Business Week Magasin has an interesting articel about the development of instant film after Polaroid closed down its last facility in Netherland.

Okey - its not the best but I'v done it.
It is very special and unpredictable as the Impossible film.
I guess you ether like it or hate it.

The Impossible Film

I have to admit I am not yet fully comfortable with the film. Some times it creates wonderful pictures and some times I recognize it as crap.
Anyway the artistic opportunities are unlimited and I'm learning.
These are the film I'v used so far:

The Camera - Polaroid SX-70

This is my first Polaroid, bought on e-bay for app. 100 $. It didn't work when it arrived so I had to repair it myself. It's hard to find someone with knowledge and experience. So I found a repair manual on internet, thanks to Mike Butkus www.butkus.org.
Here is the beauty.
